Global Yatirim sells 95% of Yesil unit to Norway`s Statkraft

Turkish investment company Global Yatirim Holding said Wednesday it signed a deal with Norwegian power company Statkraft.
Global Yatirim Holding to sell 95 per cent of its Yesil Enerji that will build seven hydro-electric power plants in Turkey worth around 700 million Euros (US$940 million).  Global said the deal was an indicator of global interest in developing the Turkish market despite the ongoing financial downturn.
